Sustainable development goals

Our company frames sustainability management under the paradigm of purposeful development, aiming to create and share value, protect the environment, and promote the well-being and safety of our employees, their families, and the communities where we operate. To achieve this, we have aligned our corporate sustainability goals with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.

objetivo1 objetivo2 objetivo3 objetivo4
  • Reduce accident rate

Level cruises

The safety of our operation and the communities where we are present is fundamental for the continuity of our service, which positively impacts the lives of thousands of people. Therefore, we promote a harmonious coexistence between motorists and railways through urban-rail coexistence programs based on promoting a culture of responsible, safe, and preventive driving.

Through the Mexican Railway Association, we collaborate with Operation Lifesaver, an organization present in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The objective of this organization is to reduce collisions, accidents, and fatalities at railway level crossings. Every year, we promote road safety at the municipal level with our campaign "Beware of the Train."

Dangerous materials

Our company is the safest choice for freight transportation. To ensure the safety of the communities where we operate, we work with protocols and processes that allow us to respond in case of emergencies. Additionally, we have close collaboration with first responders and civil protection agencies.

In 2022, we formally joined TRANSCAER, a cross-border initiative in North America to educate, assist, and train communities and first responders to be prepared for emergencies involving hazardous materials.

With the intention of pooling efforts and sharing experiences in handling emergencies involving hazardous materials, we have:

  • Strengthened local first responders through free training sessions.
  • Created tools and support channels for first responders.
  • Organized practices and drills to prepare first responders.
