Request a Quote

To obtain detailed information about our rates, we invite you to complete the rate request form below. Please provide the required details and submit the form so we can process your request and provide you with the necessary information.

Request a Car

Once you have agreed on the rate with your sales executive and have access to the RVP module in the eFerromex portal, the next step is to request the equipment you need to move your cargo.

Creating Car Orders

  • In RVP, go to the Plan - Car Order option.
  • Click on New Order.
  • Select the Car Order Pattern with the destination, product, and type of car you want to move.
  • Enter the number of cars required for each date in the displayed calendar and click Create Your Order.
  • For domestic shipments, create your order at least 5 (five) days before the loading date, and for exporting shipments, create your order at least 15 (fifteen) days in advance.

Tracking Car Orders

  • To track the cars assigned to each order, simply click on the order number to display the list.
  • Orders are assigned weekly (from Sunday to Saturday). If the order is not completed, it will be adjusted to the number of cars assigned. You must create a new order if you need the remaining units to be assigned.

Cancelling Car Orders

  • If you wish to partially or completely cancel an order, you must send the Empty Equipment Cancellation Form via email to solicitud.carro@ferromex.mx for it to be evaluated and authorised by the fleet manager. Depending on the status of the order and/or the units to be canceled, charges may be incurred for this situation.
  • For any modifications other than partial or total cancellation, please contact solicitud.carro@ferromex.mx.

Rejecting a Car

  • Once the car is positioned at the industry site, it can be rejected if it does not meet quality requirements and/or has damage that prevents its loading. You must email the Empty Equipment Rejection Form to solicitud.carro@ferromex.mx and include photos identifying the car and the reason for rejection.

If you do not have the appropriate pattern, you must send an email to solicitud.carro@ferromex.mx with the following information:

  • Origin station
  • ZVP of the origin
  • Destination station
  • ZVP of the destination
  • Product to be transported (and STCC if known)
  • Type of equipment (and specific characteristics if applicable)
  • Shipper customer: (Owner of the track or industry performing the loading)
  • Paying customer
  • User to be linked to the pattern in RVP

Load the product

Once the unit is set at your disposal on public tracks or in your siding, you have a 24-hour window to load it.

Document the Car

Once the car has been loaded, it needs to be documented through eBOL.. To document, you must have a documentation pattern.

What is a documentation pattern? It is a pre-loaded guide in the Ferromex system (origin, destination, shipper, consignee, rate, customs agents, etc.). Request the format by sending an email to:ebusiness@ferromex.mx

Unload the Product

When the car arrives at its destination and it is placed at your disposal, you have 24 hours to unload it. For more information, click here.
